La Rhapsodie Noire

One evening, the perfumer was crossing the Pont-Neuf; as she was listening to "Rhapsody in Blue", she paused to take a look around her: even more so at night, Paris seemed to have kept its fabled charm unaltered in time. Her imagination was fuelled by images and sensations of the "City of Light" in the 1920s. Right there and then, she decided to create a fragrance dedicated to Paris of “Les Années Folles”, a time of extraordinary energy and creativity. A nocturnal, vibrant scent reflecting timeless elegance, pulsating vitality, and artistic freedom, through a combination of rum coffee, sophisticated florals, and sweetly-toned earthy notes. A variation of the classic fougère theme, enriched with gourmand tones. As a nod to the music and the night that inspired her, she named it LA RHAPSODIE NOIRE.

LA RHAPSODIE NOIRE opens with tonifying, energetic notes of coffee and rum, as well as cigar nuances, evoking the atmosphere of the 1920s Parisian cafés. Clary Sage and French Lavender provide the herbal, aromatic freshness of a proper fougère, seamlessly leading to the fragrance’s suave floral heart (Mimosa, Broom, Jasmine Sambac). A complex base of earthy ingredients (Patchouli, Oakmoss, Oakwood, Vetiver) supports the composition, while the gourmand character is reinforced by creamy Sandalwood, nutty Tonka Bean, and ambrosial Madagascar Vanilla.
