1. Are all perfumes sold on PerfumeX authentic?Â
Yes. Every fragrance sold on PerfumeX is 100% authentic and original. We do not sell first copies, refilled bottles, or counterfeit products.
2. Where do you source your perfumes from?Â
Our fragrances are sourced from a combination of authorized Indian distributors and trusted international supply partners. This allows us to offer a wide selection of designer and niche perfumes at competitive prices while maintaining authenticity.
3. What is a “tester” perfume? Is it original?
Yes. Tester perfumes contain the same original fragrance juice as retail units and are supplied by the brand for in-store display purposes.

4. Why does my perfume not have cellophane (plastic wrap)?
Some fragrance brands do not use cellophane wrapping on certain product lines by factory default. In such cases, the absence of plastic wrap is normal and does not indicate inauthenticity.
In rare instances, cellophane may be partially damaged or removed during transit or handling to prevent bottle movement and reduce the risk of breakage during shipping. This is done only for safety purposes and does not affect the fragrance, packaging integrity, or authenticity of the product.
The perfume bottle inside remains unused, original, and untouched.
5. What does “decoded” or removed batch code mean?
In some cases, perfumes may arrive with a partially removed or obscured batch code. This is a standard practice in parallel imports, used to protect global supply chains.
This does not affect authenticity, fragrance quality, or shelf life in any way.Â
