Splendiris

The perfumer's main inspiration for Splendiris came from a poem written by her father: “I write by the candlelight, wrapped in many layers of dreams”. I chose Orris as the ideal raw material to base my composition on, due to the several olfactive layers it encompasses."

Splendiris features lush Orris Butter as its star ingredient, as luminous and splendid as a flowering field in full bloom, surrounded by sweet citruses and precious florals (May Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Violet). With the color purple in mind, a color she strongly associate with dreams, she tried to highlight all the facets of the marvelous main ingredient – floral, gourmand and earthy. With a base of Vanilla, Ambergris and Aromatic Woods, she aimed for Splendiris to be altogether glamorous and mysterious, and as sensual as it is comforting.
